Seems Just Like Yesterday

Welcome to my first post. I hope to get better at this as time goes by, but suggestions and comments are always appreciated. Just try to be kind.

People are always telling me I should share what I'm doing and a blog seemed like a logical place to start. You see, I'm one of those crazy creative souls who just can't stay still.

I am:
- an artist who prefers to paint on walls (murals), but will paint on anything really.
-   a really great cook, but I'm passionate about baking really cool cakes for birthdays and weddings.
- a seamstress and have made everything from really ornate costumes at Halloween to recovering my sofa and everything in between.
- an accomplished crafter and have made all sorts of stuff for holidays and as gifts.
- a novice photographer who takes photos every chance I get.

But day-to-day, I am in marketing & PR. I hope to use this space to share my latest creations and accomplishments with those who care to see them.

It seems like just yesterday my son and his best friend since the third grade were talking Bionicles and Pokemon. Now my son is preparing to move to Pittsburgh while his best friend leaves for boot camp next week.

This is a picture I took of them and their dates at prom a mere four months ago. They had an absolute blast but I'm not sure if I'll ever get the full details of the adventures they had that night. And as a mother, I'm not sure I would want to.

I used Photoshop to modify the images and use a Cannon Rebel T1. I love this camera and have learned so much in the last two years on how to use the different settings.
